The river Jølstra is at its end. The fjord is waiting. Now she spreads out and lets your eyes rest on the constantly changing flowing water. By the river, we serve lunch from the Pikant à la carte menu every weekday and Saturday. If you come for the evening seat you can choose between the Pikant menu, or full evening menu, with four or five dishes.
Ice-cold locally produced craft beer from Kinn, Kvernafossen and Skifjorden. In Pikant bar on the first floor, the taps are connected to fourteen different barrels from local, award-winning breweries. In the wine list, the whole wide, wonderful world of wine awaits. What about sharing at plate of cheese, cured ham and cheese? Relax, taste, enjoy! When the weather is OK, it is great to sit on the veranda.
From the veranda outside Pikant bar you can watch the sun rise over the mountains Viefjellet and Eikåsnipa. See how it follows the ridge along the mountain Hafstadfjellet, where you might have excersized by climbing the stairs and steep path to the top. Later the sun climbs over Halbrendsdnipa and Førdsnipa before she puts on the red evening dress for the mountains in Naustdal. In the middle of the town you are surrounded by mountains. Treat yourself to an outdoor tasting experience. Time is carefree out here.
Once the flood took the bridge. Another time it was broken by the river ice. The local people built yet another and better new bridge. If it could tell, you would hear the story about our town. On the Town Hall Square, at the foot of the bridge, you are surrounded by Førde’s urban history. Lift your glass in good company on the Town Hall Square.
